From February 23rd, here's Varabhadri and the shrine from her evening on the animals at the centre of the Wheel of Life.

Since then, we've been continuing the series following the book The Journey and the Guide. It's a journey that starts with mindfulness and positive emotion, and takes those practices into further experiences of letting go, and opening out. We have had two evenings on 'spiritual death' - about letting go of limiting ourselves by thinking of ourselves as fixed and separate. Here's a poem from one evening:

I will not an un-lived life
I will not live in fear of falling
Or catching fire.
I choose to inhabit my days:
To allow my living to open me,
To make me less afraid,
More accessible.
Loosen my heart until it becomes
A wing, a torch, a promise.
I choose to risk my significance,
To live so
That which came to me as seed
Goes to the next as blossom
And that which came to me as blossom
Goes on as fruit.

Davina Markova

Next week, we begin to look at 'spiritual rebirth' - 'waking up to a world of colour' !
