North Wales Buddhists, (formerly known for many years as Llangollen Buddhist Group ) has been meeting online since the start of covid restrictions. We continue to offer opportunities to stay in touch and practice together online. We meet most Thursdays online at 7pm for meditation, teaching and discussion. We also offer led meditations on Monday evenings online.
We also meet in person once a month on a Saturday morning for meditation and friendship. Our venue is Sychdyn Memorial Hall just north of Mold. We are just starting to meet in person on the second Thursday of the month 7pm at this venue. There will be no online meeting on these Thursdays. We welcome newcomers as well as more experienced practitioners.
If you would like to be part of any of this, please email [email protected]
We meet to meditate together, learn from teachings and discussion, and develop friendship and mutual support. We aim to help each other to develop more positive states of mind and live in a spirit of appreciation and generosity. Our teachings are Buddhist teachings but you don't have to be a Buddhist to benefit from meditation and mindfulness. We are part of the Triratna Buddhist Community. This is a worldwide movement of women and men living by the Buddha's teachings in the conditions of the modern world. Neither monastic or lay, we are simply Buddhists at various stages of commitment and understanding.
There are of course other online sites with talks, led meditations etc Please see our links page. The picture below was taken in the shrine room in our previous venue.
