Llangollen Buddhist Group has been online since the start of covid restrictions. We continued to offer opportunities to stay in touch and practice together online, and have decided to continue this weekly as well as meeting in person about once a month. We meet every Thursday online at 7pm for meditation, teaching and discussion. We also offer led meditations Monday evenings.
We have a new venue for meeting, Black Parc Chapel, Halton. It’s an old chapel converted in a very eco friendly way and used for many music, art and community events and groups, just outside Chirk. In December 2021 we met there on a Saturday morning for meditation. This was much appreciated. Our current plan is to continue meeting online every Thursday, and to offer Meditation meetings online on Mondays. We also plan to meet in person approximately every month on a Saturday morning for meditation.
If you would like to be part of any of this, please email northwalesbuddhists@gmail.com
There are of course other online sites with talks, led meditations etc Please see our links page.
Llangollen Buddhists meet to meditate together, learn from teachings and discussion and develop friendship and mutual support. We aim to help each other to develop more positive states of mind and live in a spirit of appreciation and generosity. Our teachings are Buddhist teachings but you don't have to be a Buddhist to benefit from meditation and mindfulness. We welcome newcomers as well as more experienced meditators and practitioners,
We are part of the Triratna Buddhist Community. This is a worldwide movement of women and men living by the Buddha's teachings in the conditions of the modern world. Neither monastic nor lay, we are simply Buddhists at various stages of commitment and understanding.
